 The AIDS Volunteers Ghana Association is a grass root Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to promoting volunteering in the fight against HIV/AIDS and giving support and care to the people living with HIV/AIDS in Ghana at the district and community level.


AVGA's main goal is to provide Ghana with well-trained volunteers who would take the fight against HIV/AIDS to all corners of the country especially to the remote rural areas where access to the media is rare and to provide care and support for people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.


AVGA was setup to co-ordinate efforts to address issues on HIV/AIDS and also specialize in community development activities, empowerment of individuals, institutional strengthening which aims at improving the lives of individuals for socital impact at the district and community levels. 


We are committed to quality human development and dynamic exchange of development ideas. AVGA provides development focused quality services using participatory development methodologies, networking and research.


 

TYPES OF PROJECT:


Peer Education, Care and Support for Persons Living With HIV/AIDS (PLWHAs), Support and care for Children Orphaned by HIV/AIDS, Empowering of individuals vulnerable to HIV/AIDS infection and other social vises, Income Generating Activities, Capacity Building, Training, Counselling and IEC.
